We absolutely love fishing with Captain Bryan at Isla Oeste Charters! We’ve gone out with him twice now and can’t say enough good things. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, easygoing, and great with everyone—from couples to the whole family.

Our first trip was in May 2025 with my husband, myself, and our two teenage daughters, and Captain Bryan made it such a fun and memorable experience for all of us. We just went out again in January 2026 with just my husband and me, and it was just as amazing. We actually planned our trip to Puerto Rico specifically so we could fish with him again.

I absolutely loved the tuna we caught, and every trip has been a blast from start to finish. We will be back many, many times and will always book with Captain Bryan. Highly recommend Isla Oeste Charters if you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience! 🎣

My entire family agrees that going fishing with Captain Bryan was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico! He is a great captain and an even better person. We landed 9.5 blackfin tuna (a shark chomped one of them in half) and a bonita, got a 4-foot bull shark to the side of the boat where it luckily came off, and lost a nice mahi mahi/dorado that was leaping out of the water like crazy. Bryan was the best captain I have been fishing with. He told us the best rod/reel for my youngest to use to reel in a couple tuna. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions, including inviting us back to look at the sonar screen and telling us what he was seeing on the screen. He told us the best way to cook the tuna, and also gave us advice on local beaches and restaurants. As he says, for this type of fishing, be ready for periods of calm and then 5+ minutes of chaos when he finds a school of tuna. Captain Bryan gets my highest recommendation! We want to come back just to go fishing with him again!

Capt Bryan took us out for a 5 hour blackfin tuna trip second week of November just after hurricane Melissa passed thru the area and we were not disappointed! We spend a few hours trolling artificials and once we caught the fish we needed for the trip, we took a pit stop to fish for some tarpon inshore with our own fly rod we brought and then we got to go snorkeling with the tarpon and other small reef fish.
I’ve been on a few charters and Capt Bryan knows his stuff. He showed up with a plan and it all clicked into place. The boat ride was gentle and everything came off without a hitch.
Highly recommend!
